Situation: A Canadian national courier company constructed a new Parcel Distribution Facility in Montreal. The build project involved construction of the new facility complete with installation of a complex Parcel Sortation System. The Parcel Sortation System includes 26 Unload lines and 82 sort destinations. Issue: Optimization of the Parcel Sortation System’s operational capabilities through automation. Requirement: Parcel Sortation System controls automation complete with built-in redundancy and radio frequency (RF) functionality for optimized parcel sorting operations based on real-time data transmissions and user-friendly information displays and reports.
