In-Line EDS Screening

Since September 11, 2001, airport security has been heightened to 100% screening of passenger checked baggage. However, a large majority of airports are manually screening checked bags, which has a high labor cost for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and a slow baggage processing rate.

As a result, the TSA is investing in hold baggage screening (HBS) systems, which are automated systems for screening bags. The return on investment is labor savings and an increase in processing capacity as HBS systems can process a much higher number of bags/hour.

As an industry authority who has implemented over 30 HBS systems, Brock provides:

  • 3D process simulation
  • High level sortation software and system wide reporting
  • Conveyor controls automation
  • Electrical design and panel fabrication

Brock partners with mechanical conveyor suppliers and provides a turn key “controls” solution to these partners.
