This role requires dynamic individual able to troubleshoot a variety of solutions and systems, must be able to quickly respond to problems, interact with customers, understand client processes and work with operations, and relay issues back to the development team.

The successful candidate will understand the problems related to manufacturing of tobacco and interrelated processes in addition to some understanding of automation and MES from the point if view of scope and user interactions

Major Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Perform Preventative Maintenance as required by the Maintenance Manual.
• Performance Systems Monitoring and Maintenance (i.e. load operating system service packs, update virus protection, monitor, assess and optimize the operation of the system, archive old information and / or defrag hard drives, etc.)
• Develop Root Cause Analysis Reports on failures plus review system performance reports and / or service event report to diagnose and correct problems and / or develop work plans to address
• Provide input into any required follow-up documentation after a service call has been completed.
• Provide code management (PLCs, HMIs, Custom s/w apps, etc) including version control plus updating the restore images
• Set up and maintain a development environment that allows for off line testing of updates, changes and additions
• Provide Documentation Support (drawings, manuals, etc.)
• Support Legacy Automation Systems including knowledge acquisition
• Coordinate Support from Third Party Suppliers
• Uncover and review future enhancement requests and operational benefit.
• Investigate and assist following up on new business opportunities

Services personnel are our front-line support to our customers for the systems we developed plus other customer systems. Services personnel are responsible for trouble shooting, repairing / restoring and maintaining the following type of systems:

• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) – Siemens SIMATIC IT
• Microsoft .Net applications and web applications
• Reporting applications including Business Objects and SQL Reporting Services
• PLC Programs – Siemens S7, Rockwell ControlLogix
